Mental Health First Aid Pt 2 - Wednesday, 1st November 10.30am - 1.00pm AEDT
About 1 in 5 Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year. So this is your chance to become a mental health first aider to support tenants, colleagues, friends, family members and others.
Mental Health First Aid Training is associated with improved knowledge of mental illnesses, their treatments and appropriate first aid strategies, and confidence in providing first aid to individuals with mental illness. Evidence tells us that a person is more likely to seek help if it is suggested by someone that they know. By learning these skills you can make a difference to the lives of others.
The workshop will teach you practical skills to support someone with a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practiced, evidence-based Action Plan.
