Emma Nicholson Head of Policy & Innovation at NSW Land and Housing Corporation Emma Nicholson is the acting Head of Policy and Innovation at the NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) and is passionate about generating more and better homes and partnering to achieve this. The division drives policy innovation, business and portfolio development, funding attraction, community housing partnerships, communications and housing services for the crisis, transitional, social, teacher and police housing and community use and commercial portfolios. Emma has worked across the Aboriginal and mainstream housing, disability, women, intergovernmental and industrial relations portfolios, and in her earlier career as a journalist and acrobat.

Humair Ahmad Director of Community Housing at Department of Communities & Justice Humair Ahmad is a social and affordable housing specialist. An architect and urban planner by education, he is currently the Director Community Housing at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. Humair has played a direct role in the growth of the community housing sector in NSW by leading initiatives such as the Social Housing Management Transfers, Community Housing Innovation Fund and Together Home. Previously he has been involved with the asset vesting program. Humair also oversees the delivery of a range of crisis and transitional housing, private market head leasing and affordable housing programs. Over the last 15 years Humair has supported achievement of social and affordable housing outcomes through robust commissioning of services in a complex multi-provider housing system. Before moving to Australia Humair worked on various low cost housing and infrastructure projects for people living in urban informal settlements and disadvantaged rural areas.

Scott Farlow, MLC Government Whip in the Legislative Council and Chair, Parliamentary Friends for Mental Health at Parliament NSW The Hon Scott Farlow MLC was elected to the NSW Legislative Council in March 2015, representing the Liberal Party of Australia. Scott currently serves as the Government Whip in the Legislative Council, with significant responsibilities in the coordination and operation of the Chamber and Parliamentary Committees. Since entering Parliament, Scott has served as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer and for COVID Recovery, Leader of the House in the Legislative Council, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier. Scott chairs the Selection of Bills Standing Committee and Joint Standing Committee on the Office of the Valuer-General, and serves as a member on a diverse range of several committees. Scott is also the Chair for the Parliamentary Friends of Israel, Parliamentary Friends of Mental Health and Parliamentary Friends of the United Kingdom. Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Prior to entering Parliament, Scott served as Mayor and Councillor on Strathfield Municipal Council, and previously worked as an analyst and strategic advisor for large firms, State and Federal Parliamentarians.

Christina Hough Head, Community Housing Operations at Women's Housing Company Christina joined the WHC in November 2021 as Head, Community Housing Operations, responsible for the development and delivery of strategic objectives and service delivery plans relating to all customer service, housing and property management activities. Christina has over 15 years’ of experience working in social and affordable housing operations in Australia and the UK, including senior roles at City West Housing and Bridge Housing. Most recently, Christina oversaw the transition of over 1,000 public housing tenancies on the Northern Beaches over to Bridge Housing management and established the Bridge Housing Northern Beaches Office, in partnership with the WHC. Christina holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Human Psychology and a Master of Business Administration and Social Impact from UNSW AGSM.

Rose was elected to the Legislative Council in May 2019 and has been fighting for real action on climate change, criminalising wage theft and tackling homelessness and housing affordability. Rose has also held a variety of roles within the labour and union movement including Assistant Secretary of NSW Labor and as an official for United Voice (formerly LHMU.) Rose lives with her family in Rockdale and is passionate about making our society fairer for everyone.

Trina, brings an extensive range of experience in the homelessness sector and working with government on developing and delivering solutions to homelessness. Trina has spent the last 8 years with the City of Sydney Council delivering on key policy and program areas including social housing & homelessness, drug and alcohol, food security, domestic and family violence and crime prevention. Trina has a track record for building collective impact responses to ending homelessness and led the development of the Sydney 10 year Homelessness Action Plan, the Emergency Response Protocol for People Sleeping Rough and Homelessness Assertive Response Team (HART) – leading to long term housing and support outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.

Rebecca Pinkstone CEO of Bridge Housing Limited Rebecca Pinkstone has spent the past 17 years working in social and affordable housing. As CEO of Bridge Housing, Rebecca leads a committed team of 100 staff providing a quality service that has positively changed the lives of 5,500 people living in 3,500 homes across metropolitan Sydney. Before joining Bridge Housing, Rebecca worked for the NSW Government in a variety of senior roles to deliver major social housing reforms to improve services and grow the community housing sector. Prior to her work in housing, Rebecca worked in the areas of social planning, crime prevention and domestic violence in both state and local government. Building on a political science degree, Rebecca holds a Masters in Public Policy & Governance and Grad Certificate in Adult Education. Rebecca is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently a Director of CHIA NSW.
