Developing strong supervisors is vital for effective leadership as it impacts employee performance, engagement, team development, communication, decision-making, organisational culture, and change management. By the end of this workshop you will:
Understand the role of leadership in a supervisory position and identify key qualities and characteristics of effective leaders
Recognise the importance of integrity in supervision, and develop strategies for building trust and credibility with team members
Learn different types of feedback and techniques for delivering effective feedback to team members
Develop skills for receiving and responding to feedback as a supervisor and overcome common challenges in providing feedback
Understand the significance of teamwork in a supervisory role and learn strategies for building and fostering a collaborative team culture
Acquire effective communication strategies for promoting team cohesion and resolving conflicts within the team
Explore ethical considerations for supervisors and learn how to handle difficult ethical situations
Understand the application of LIFT principles (Leadership, Integrity, Feedback, and Teamwork) in daily supervisory activities
Analyse case studies and examples to illustrate the practical application of LIFT in real-life scenarios
Identify personal areas for improvement as a supervisor and create an action plan for continuous development

Hannah has worked extensively with individuals, families, and communities facing a range of complex and competing challenges including homelessness and insecure housing; financial stress; domestic and family violence; child protection; substance use; suicidal ideation; and mental health.
